Welcome

Harris Junior Academy Carshalton (HJAC) opened in September 2013.

We are a three-form entry school situated in Carshalton, which is part of the London Borough of Sutton. Our children, aged between 7 and 11 years of age, bring a wonderful amount of energy and enthusiasm to our school.

HJAC is very much a community school. We are inclusive and we strive to ensure that every child feels happy, valued and safe. At HJAC we know that a close partnership with parents is vital if children are to learn and grow as individuals. We therefore do all we can to keep parents informed and involved in school life.

We believe that through expert teaching and support all children can achieve to a high standard.

Our aim is to make sure that our pupils leave us thoroughly prepared for Secondary School and feeling that they have succeeded both academically and in the extracurricular aspects of Academy life.

We want all of our children to have a truly happy experience of school. Our pupils’ achievements are celebrated every day in their lessons and we are proud that they are kind, caring, self-assured and eager to learn.

If you are interested in a place for your son or daughter, please do come and visit us and talk to as many children and staff as you can. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you.
