Iʼm raising £2,000 to help buy some playground climbing equipment at Harris Junior Academy Carshalton

Ange Norris takes on the challenge of the London Marathon – 26.2miles

By April 27th I plan to be fit enough to complete the course from Greenwich to The Mall. As well as being a personal challenge this is a fantastic opportunity for me to raise money for my school – Harris Junior Academy Carshalton, where I have worked as a TA for many years.

From my run I want the children at school to benefit and have something that will help them have fun whilst enjoying exercise at break and lunch times. Our plan is to use the sponsor money to buy some playground climbing equipment. Due to being adjacent to both a road and a railway line, our school has limited space but we want to enhance the area that we have. We promote an active, healthy lifestyle so gym equipment will help the children develop strength, agility and balance whilst having fun.

Having run the marathon before, I know that it’s a ridiculously long way and as such, needs respect and determined training. However, I am passionate about running which will help me through the weeks of training.
